Grace is a solicitor at Mackenzie Elvin Law. She works closely with Tom Elvin and Jason Bywater-Lutman, with a focus on Property and Commercial work. She also has an interest in Māori land and Trust work.
Originally from Whakatāne, Grace has grown up in the Bay of Plenty and knows the area well. She moved south in 2015 to study Law and Arts (Politics) at the University of Otago. During her studies, she spent six months studying overseas at the University College of Dublin in Ireland and volunteered for the Student Tenancy Services.
Currently, Grace is working towards her level two Te Reo Māori language certificate, she volunteers at the Baywide community Law Service, enjoys adventure racing and is actively involved with Mount Hockey Club.
Examples of work:
- Assisted a number of developers in subdivisions of land from 10 to 30 lots (including delivery of multiple stages across the developments).
- Assisting commercial landlords in respect of development leasing documentation and repositioning of commercial property assets and associated leasing elements and issues that arise.
- Assist with entering into and negotiating development agreements for both tenants and landlords on both retail, industrial and commercial premises.
- Assisting clients with residential purchases, both first-home buyers and investors.
